The Saskatchewan Retail Petroleum Contractors Association (SRPCA) held its Annual General Meeting on June 17, 2026, at Dakota Dunes Golf Course.
The meeting included an industry update and discussion on Saskatchewan Environment’s new permit system and associated fees. Members were also advised that the province’s petroleum chapters and associated standards are expected to proceed to public engagement this fall, with implementation currently planned for 2027. SRPCA will continue to keep members informed as further details become available.
POST Committee representatives Michelle Rae of OPCA/CPCA and Howard Heal of Redstream Resources/APSSCA provided an update on the Petroleum Oriented Safety Training (POST) program, including recent program and document updates and the introduction of the new Critical Controls Assurance (CCA) checklist.
The group also discussed the B139 Technician course initiative and ongoing efforts to develop a standardized training and certification pathway that can support industry needs across Canada.
Following the AGM, members and guests took to the course for the association’s annual golf tournament. The event raised $1,800 in support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation, providing a great finish to a productive day of industry discussion, networking and community support.
